For all the lives given or taken in the name of God. Listen! LISTEN. You have said these words 10,000 times. Have you ever really heard them? As you repeat them now open your ears open your mind open your heart. Drink these words in through every pore, Send them singing across your synapses Informing every particle of your being. These words are a message to The Faithful, the True Believers, Defenders of the Faith, Servants of the Most High. For the love of God Listen again Hear them for the first time. la ilallah God is all. Adonai echad. God is one. God is all: Jew, Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, atheist, and Muslim all exist within God. God is One; the One God is Holy: all the distinctions we imagine between us, the Beloved of God, and them, the pagan, gentile, infidel, unrighteous, nonbeliever, are meaningless. All are united in God. God is all knowing, all seeing, all powerful, always present because Where God lives there is only here and only now: Every lie told, Every shameful deed committed, Every indifferent prayer offered, Every act of loving kindness performed in the Holiest of Holies in the most holy hour of the most holy day in eternity in full view of the company of heaven. God, the creator, preserver, sustainer, Who gives the breath of life afresh to every creature with each inhalation, Will not admit us to paradise and banish our brothers and sisters: there can be no peace, not in heaven, nor on earth, until we make peace with our enemy. Let us purify ourselves, forswear bloodlust, deny the thirst for vengeance, fast until we no longer hunger for vindication: Tikkun olam, _________________, the redemption of the world begins with a circumcision of our own heart, an inventory of our own soul. Then greet your enemy: Shalom, salaam, I bring you peace. I now desire to prove myself trustworthy more than I desire to prove myself superior. Namaste. I come seeking the light of the presence, ____________, in your soul, Praying you will find the ner tamid burning in mine: It must be there (by the grace of God), because we, every individual, stand, living, face to face with God. Adonai echad. God is one. la ilallah God is all. Let us say amen: May God write this upon our hearts. Now, speedily, And in our own day.
